My last post was very short, while this one may be quite long. I hope you enjoy, and get something from it. You will see a lot of my latest art here. Remember I said I needed to take a break and refresh. This is what it has come to…
Election Day!, Save our country!, “Bad Hurricane, how dare you cost me $90!,
“You want to save our world? Better give me some money, before it’s too late!” By the way, we have the best spaceship to Heaven, and we are offering it for the very low price of $5000,000,000, but we have payment plans available. Don’t let our bad economy stop you from getting it all!
Well, it’s really not we, only me. Hey, make your payments available to
and God willing, Heaven will be yours! :]:]:]
After an unholy butt load of that crap, and seeing that I really have something to say, I retired to my art for inspiration. Unholy summer of un stained panties and swimwear! There is so much more than something to say. I’ve got some things to show. Yes, I have more than one:]:]:]
I am an artist
to qualify, I am an artist
My physical form changes constantly, such as life and reality…
I am not at liberty to play games on you, though I would love to play them with you. Consider me as The Green Man In contemplation. My world is new, and I’m hoping that your world is too. Otherwise, sail off…
I invoke the power of a great lantern to light my way. Together forming this lantern, we are a god/goddess. We become the holiest of holy, by transformation into the unholy.
By this I mean, facing reality. There is nothing in this world that can help us get our lives straight, unless it is ourselves! The Gods and Goddesses are merely icons, until we incarnate them! Get it?
Without pseudo reasoning for a mentor, our focus often turns to “Death.” Are we really not fearing an ending for a greatness not begun? Where was I when I needed help? I’m hoping to instigate answers to these questions.
The universe has bestowed us with gifts such as love, which in reality is an embracing of self, and lust, which keeps it all moving. Furthermore, we have everyday life as a reality check. Going back to love, embracing self is embracing all. Just think about it! We are beginning a journey. Hope we are all together.
Regardless of style, art is a science of symbolism. It has been used from primordial times and up to the present, to concentrate bands of perception into usable and potent aggregates.
In a well done painting, the awareness of a million years is condensed, and reincarnated in the present moment! We can see this in every art revolution that’s ever existed. Test this yourself. Observe and contemplate the art of different periods of history. Within each, the unchanging element can be found, and more! The art of every civilization and time period provides a window to that place, both in what it shows, and what it does not.
My point is that art is the most potent of all magickal tools, as well as the prime tool for social evolution and communication. Tarot decks are perfect examples of all I have inferred, yet it gets so much deeper! Art controls society completely!
You want to buy a home. Where will you wish to live, and what style of house would you wish to live in? Did you determine all you needed to from personal experience? You want to join a religion, list the motivators. The list could go forever, but doesn’t need to. Symbolism creates reality! Artists are architects of symbolism.
There are days when it may get difficult to understand these things. It probably would be better to say, that when things get rough, it becomes somewhat difficult to identify with the greatness of “true being”, and our purpose in this amazing continuum. It’s really just our ego’s feeling hurt, but these things will pass in the wake of transpersonal glory.
Every year, and every day of my life, the evidence builds!
I take a humble kind of pride in the knowing that everything is The Great Continuum, and I am doing my part. This Divine Fractal expands and contracts in sensuous waves within the peaceful stillness of eternity. Jellyfish wisdom?
I have always loved and admired jellyfish. They are so beautiful and delicate. I see them as organic fractals, or individual “bing-bangs” pulsing with the tide. In spite of their great vunerability, the jellyfish is still one of the most successful species on earth, and probably have a great future! Why?
For one, they can be deadly predators without a passion for hate. Even if the jellyfish had a high IQ, I doubt it would make much trouble for anyone who left it alone. It likes to eat, and will consume whatever it can.
Secondly, jellyfish are highly adaptable to most any environment. Pollution may actually aid their success, by creating an environment rich in organic matter and a multitude of protein rich organisms. Wouldn’t it be cool if we could do that?
When a jellyfish washes up on a beach, or gets plowed by a passing boat, the other jellyfish don’t get depressed and whine about the futility of life. They eat, reproduce and die, like everything else, but do so without huge psychological problems. This is another reason they find it so easy to succeed.
In this lowly organism, the meaning of life is completely established, at least for now. Within their physical appearance, and their very nature, profound wisdom abides!
Now, about the “Great Intellectual Jellyfish”…
Several months ago, I had a MRI. Though I was prohibited from photographing my brain, I got to see it, and absolutely fell in love! For the first time, I saw the real me. It was a delicate creature, composed mainly of cholesterol, bathed in an inner ocean housed in a flesh machine. I was, and still am, in complete awe! This creature designed my life. It determined how long my hair should be, what I would eat, drink, or smoke, how I would react to whatever it’s decisions were. It decides how much of it’s awareness it should share with me, and in reality, what my life will be about.
This is the really cool part…
For that moment, I was in complete communion with myself. I could see my brain, looking back at me, and it was able to see it’s creation. It was also able to tell the deep love I had for it. From an MRI, I learned true self love! Get one if you can! They are very expensive, but of all the personal development tools I’ve tried, it was the best so far. By the way, if you do get one, and want the pic, you probably should click your cellphone without asking! I did, and they told me no. [they kinda suck!] Partially joking, as I know they have their rules to protect their business, and that should get some respect. Never the less, this is me, and they should feel the sting of a thousand nettles for holding such a personal picture from me. I still plan to get it!
So in this post, I am sharing with you my most recent art, and the inspiration behind it. Soon I will return to my social and political engagements, as there is a lot to be addressed! As of now, please contemplate the beauty and power of art, and employ it in your life as you see fit.
We frequently question what life is all about, while sadly ignoring ourselves and our personal reality. This is why we tend to feel so trapped and used. We seek the external world, and have done a good job of finding it. What has happened is that we have discovered a way to “make the car drive us, instead of us driving the car”. The result of this folly is that although very busy, and apparently engaged in life, we are just running around unconscious.
While in this state of mind, we are dominated by our external circumstances, and our primal drives. This puts us in a bad place for addressing the needs of the future. Our ability to develop new perspectives is greatly compromised. We are living in a dream which evolved thousands of years ago, and whose time has passed. Although it was highly effective for establishing order, and keeping the human species from extinction, the game has changed. It’s time for something new.
Over the world, population is rising out of control. We are running out of food and land to support this increasing population. Despite this global emergency, our teens are adhering faithfully to their instinct to replicate at all cost. They are out of control. The reason for this is that creating children is still one of our leading focuses in life. Lead by antiquated drives, we are securing the basis for our much feared extinction.
Why are we not coming up with educational programs designed to instill a sense of self value in our youth? Why are we not trying harder to create a state of selfishness in our young, that might lead them to building themselves instead of replicating. When will we call for a generation to offer quality over quantity?
Oh, perhaps I can explain:]
Maybe it is because we live under a divine law, “Be fruitful and multiply.”
I would love to hear a comment from the author of this command that would explain how we should do so, and feed these offspring now that their numbers are greater than our recourses to care for them? What’s even worse is that we are doing very little to develop the recourses needed to even try to satisfy this great task. Every second, babies are born, cigars are passed, a forest dies, a debt increases, and life goes on!
For how long?
I’m not sure!
How long can we extend a welfare program to an increasing population fighting for a limited job demand? How long before our natural recourses are depleted by our “out of control species?” Where will we go when we run out of standing space? Someone tell me!
The thing is, that is only a small part of what I want to talk about. My concern here is a long term solution to the problem, or should I more fairly say… Disbalance!
These days, many folks are throwing out potential solutions, especially since we are so close to election time! I believe I have a long term solution to this problem, and I’m giving it for free, even though I’m running for no office.
Take it or leave it, the intelligent have nothing to lose by trying it on! The movement began over two hundred years ago, though it’s only started to catch. The primary goal is to teach to the living of all ages that their life and purpose are of greatest importance, and so it’s cultivation is one’s only true consideration.
By refining your life from a chunk of coal, into a diamond, you will be doing much better than if you created huge amounts of coal. If you refine yourself into one capable of finding solutions, you will have achieved more than ten generations only able to repeat a pattern! If you solve your problems with dependence, your wisdom may end a need for welfare. Should you take the time to love yourself, you will never need another for self validation. You will be a miracle you rejoice in!
Now for many, extreme debt, screaming babies, job concerns, social obligations and more, will prevent the necessary evolution to enter this brave new world. Many will be afraid, or feel their urges are morally wrong.
It is much easier to comply than to really evaluate and create. These days, compliance will solve no problem, as the authorities know less than the common masses they used to dominate!
Every age comes with it’s mottos and laws. I wish to state of the two which have yet to be fulfilled, and very likely, will address the questions of our day.
I paraphrase both of these… Think you’ll get the point.
On his death bed, Buddha responded to the question on which precept was most important. He responded, “be a lamp unto yourself.” In like condition, Aleister Crowley announced, “Do what thy wilst will be the whole of the law, love under will.”
Should one not understand the language of those days, it would appear a riddle or nonsense delivered by both. Looking closer, it can be seen that they both are delivering the same ultimate command. See, to do what you will is not the same as doing anything you want, it implies introspection, strategy and practice. It directly demands that one ” be a lamp unto themselves.”
It involves changing the scenario from being one looking outward to the world, to a world looking inward toward you. It puts full authority in your hands, while removing excuses for failure. When you know who you are, there is no failure.
I hope to inspire a generation of people
1. To question the ethics of their past
2. To live for themselves and forsake all others!
3. To consider pleasures of the flesh as beautiful rituals between lovers, and not just a tool of procreation.
4.Indulge fully in the pleasures of self and flesh, yet leave nothing to be unintentionally carried over.
5. To see the world as their ultimate lover, and protect her from all threats, even ourselves!
6. To bring life into the world when more is needed, and refrain from doing so when it is not.
7. In all cases and matters, be the change you want to see.
8. Follow your bliss!
The big day is coming up… Election day! I encourage everyone to get out and vote! Just do it! Do your best to show your candidate what you need!
Now, a special message to our candidates:
I’ve heard what you are saying, and have varying views to both of you. I would love to believe that you both really love and wish to serve your nation. If this is the case, please drop the campaigning, get together in private, and come up with a good plan for your country! Both of you, together, could do something really incredible! Will you, or just take care of business as usual? I think you both have it in you to bring about great things!
a special message to anyone reading this:
I discovered black and white art in the late 1980’s, somewhat by accident. Although this art form was quite popular then, I never really paid much attention to what other artists were doing. Most of my art was wildly psychedelic, flaming almost! 1988 was a bad year for me financially. My job just didn’t pay enough, and my art didn’t sell well. I was too busy painting to look for exhibits, and my “word of mouth” strategy for marketing yielded poor results. Every once in a while, I would get an exhibit, or make a sale. Definitely not often enough to pay the bills.
Me being who I am, I decided to take a week off from work, to travel into the badlands and paint night and day! Wow, it was fun! I gained some very valuable insights then as well. My biggest learning experience came half way through the week. I was running out of paint. Though I had plenty of beer and other tools of creative instigation, plus a few days worth of cigarettes, I was flat broke. I mean I literally had no money! Well, maybe a nickel and some pennies, but less than a dollar. It took all I had not to seriously panic.
So I decided to make due with what I had, get as wasted as possible, and paint more. Somehow, I had faith that something would come through. Luckily, I had plenty of canvasses to work with. As well, I had a good amount of black, white, brown, and green paint. I added the brown and green to the black, along with all bottles of extra paint I saved up over the past year, giving me a quite beautiful shade of black:] I knew that some artists painted in black and white, and knew this was the perfect time to give it a try.
Working as I always had, using automatic painting and capturing visions from dreams, crystals, and life in general, I cranked out four beautiful paintings in two days! It was really shocking to me to see such professional work, and know I did it!
Luckily, a few friends took me out for drinks, at The Barbary Coast. After a lot of talking, I ended up with around ten people in my bedroom, viewing my art. They loved it, and so we all went back downtown, for more drinks, and to talk to people in the art world. Before Monday, all my black and white paintings were sold, and I had close to $1000!
Some artists would have seen this as a pitiful return, but I was astounded! What I learned, is that black and white art speaks to the consciousness in a unique way. Do it well, and it will be well rewarded. To date, I have never had a full color painting match the financial returns of a “black and white!”
I make no apologies for wishing to make money for my art, and considering financial returns as I paint. I want my art to be a career. However I paint, my work will always be uniquely mine. Over the years, what I’ve discovered, are new and better ways to represent my vision.
Black and white art
captures something that resonates with many people. It seems to give “extra color” to my visions. I wouldn’t say so if I didn’t see it myself. Though I have not chosen to paint only black and whites, I’m always delighted with the results when I do so. That is not about money, but me!
Sometimes, excluding color creates a space, sacred to the artist’s design. It’s like the troubles of the world are lifted from the image, and pure sensuality remains. It transmits all kinds of color to the emotional body, while pleasing the eyes.
Perhaps this style allows the viewer to “color” the painting as they see fit. I really don’t know, but it does something special. Such canvasses cast a spell over the room they live in. There will be many that visit that room, to capture the nuance, and take it home.
Who remembers black and white tv?
I sure do! Any of you who like to watch old movies probably will know where I am going with this. At least for me, these movies captured reality better for me than movies of today. Perhaps they worked harder to create a great movie, but I don’t think that’s it. There is a magical quality to “black and white”, that nothing has been able to replace. Remember “Heck Ramsey?’ It’s a must see! “The Cat Jumped Over The Moon”, check it out.
There are two ways to paint a good “Black And White.”
Paint a canvas black, and paint the image in white, or paint a canvas white, and paint the image in black. Between the two, I think the first is best, but this is strictly up to the artist. I love to have a black canvas, and begin adding imagery in white. The results are completely different from an ink drawing. Black images on a white canvas are great too. They offer the richness of a great drawing.
often turn out great, though there are more than a few exceptions. Digital artists need to investigate the limits of this territory. My results have varied. Paintings that rely on specific color shades may not fare well in “black and white.” Paintings of food, or cooking shows do poorly in this technique.
Color tv was invented to give clarity to programming, and in technical ways, it does. I remember watching surgeries in black and white. These never prepared me for the later color versions. [Yes, I used to want to be a doctor:]]]
I seldom watch tv anymore, I just don’t really care for either the programming, or the presentation. Usually. Give me an Andy Griffith show, Little Rascals, Heck Ramsey, and I’ll be there. Still love “The Beverley Hillbillies”, without color! These were great shows, and expanded within the mind for years! It’s little wonder that black and white art is so popular.
Hello. I am about to begin a new line of artwork titled “Art for the blind”. I’m sure there are many programs with this title, but I assure you that what I am doing is at least somewhat different. I am not blind. When this idea first came to me, I wished to utilize the benefits of site less ness, to expand my art. So I’m creating a line of works blindfolded, and not to be touched up or edited. Since sight is omitted, color will occur as an accidental incidence. My interest is to see what senses turn up, perhaps some I am unaware of. I hope so! Expanding perception is one of my great passions in life.
I greatly hope that what I am doing will stand as an inspiration to many people, and demonstrate the power of the senses and creativity. Along the way, it will be interesting to see how art like this will affect my dreams! I have had a blind lucid dream before, only one. In this dream, I could not see at all, but all other senses were the same. Bumped around a lot, because I had no experience in moving through space without site. What induced this, is unknown, but I discovered much from it, including that lucid dreamscapes are still there, even when they can’t be seen. Wonder how my dream body would look without sight?
art is the vehicle by which I open doors in the astral world, and I’m trying it a new way. This art is intended to appeal to all the senses, excluding sight. Touch, temperature, smell, texture, firmness and softness, will all be employed. Sound! Yes sound has many tales to tell! Rhythm sculptures would be great, both physical and digital. Also, objects are either wet or dry. Moisture fits good in this study. Edible art would be wild! It would be great to utilize taste!
To begin with, I will construct some clay sculptures. Furthermore, there should be numerous texture paintings, but not like the ones I’ve done in the past. I will be blindfolded while working on any of these pieces. Metal sculpture sounds good as well, if I can work out the kinks. Picture me blindfolded with a welding torch! Yea, not so much! We’ll see:] In a previous post, I mentioned the use of kombucha biofilm as an art medium, and canvas. This would be safe, fun, and doable.
Of all my posts, I am asking for participation here more than ever! It would be great to hear, see and experience this project through numerous perspectives. If you ever thought of sending videos, now is the perfect time! I’m thinking of making a few. This post is active as of now, for comments, questions, and contributions. [not talking about money]. I will begin to import my work here July1. Hope to have some cool and novel participation on the part of my readers! Anything goes, well almost. See ya here!
One of the main points of this post is to communicate the true power of lucid dreaming, and reveal why it is as much a practice as meditation, yoga, physical exercise and prayer. Lucid dreaming is a game for some [though I don’t recommend it], a research tool for scientists and psychologists, a part of some spiritual paths, and a spiritual path all it’s own for others. In this day and age, concepts are challenged constantly. The validity of religion is questioned, and scientific findings published, then shattered by the next finding!
By the way, please don’t take this as an anti religion rant. It is not at all. I am in no way trying to criticize or validate anyone’s religion or ethic code. I am simply laying the groundwork for
explaining why lucid dreaming is so important to the world today!
Lucid dream techniques have changed very little from shamanic times, from BC to AD. All the new strategies I have researched and experimented with, have proven themselves spinoffs on the original practices of people who discovered this goldmine thousands, probably millions of years ago!
Lucid dream supplements…are drugs used to promote lucid dreaming. Oracles of the past had huge arsenals of them! Today many use L-Dopa, caffeine, psychedelics, MAO’s, and so much more. Greek oracles hung out in caves of narcotic gasses, earning a living by predicting the future. Old school witches made flying ointments from the narcotic poisons of nightshades and other herbs. Artists have used many of these and added alcohol, especially absinthe to the bag of tricks. I’m wary of these practices to some extent, because drugs can be so dangerous. There is a lot of misinformation on the subject, and mistakes can be fatal. Want to take this route? Better know what you are doing. Mental hospitals are full of people who didn’t!
Sound recordings are sometimes used to induce lucid dreams. For example: Hemi synch, developed by Robert Monroe. These products work well for some people, and these in the past and up to today benefit from shamanic trance music.
All numbers of gadgets to prevent one from completely losing consciousness while sleeping. Examples: lucid dream face masks, placing hard objects on places of the body to reduce comfort during sleep, and call to mind that we should be doing something.
Mantras: such as “I am dreaming”, etc.
In my opinion, these tools are really for beginners to help the mind develop a waking sleep perspective, and may be dropped as soon as the dreamer is able to know when they are dreaming, and act consciously while asleep.
